International Trade Could Boost Small Business

Check out Inc.’s article on how small business (or small to medium enterprises – aka SMEs) can grow their business through international expansion, and the US gov’t is finally going to get behind it by creating an assistant U.S. trade representative with the little guys in mind.

This position is long overdue, because small business needs the support of its government in international business. Where as large businesses usually rely on the US commercial office for “flag wrapping” where the government proactively supports their efforts in closing business deals. As you can see these are two different objectives and require totally different strategies and personnel.

Having the right people and partners supporting your business is as important as having a great product or service. Make sure you are getting the support you need to be successful!
